With Best Buy, the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are now unlockable

Photo Credit: NextPit The most recent iPhone is available for quick online and in-store shopping at Best Buy, but there are some restrictions, largely in the form of carrier-locked, constrained purchasing options. The big shop has nonetheless started to encourage the choice of purchasing a SIM-unlocked unit in its place. The most popular variations, however, are now excluded from this new arrangement. Best Buy has announced that it has unlocked its iPhone line, meaning that it now sells both SIM-free and carrier-bound versions of Apple's flagship mobile handsets. This relieves the burden on buyers to pay for their new equipment without delaying its activation. Photo Credit: Engadget The same customer can purchase their new unlocked iPhone outright from T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T as usual without committing to a monthly contract. The 13 and 13 Mini are the newest iPhones that are included in the new deal, but there is a catch. Nonetheless, Best Buy continues to accept trade-ins for unlocked iPhones. New 13 Mini and 13 non-carrier choices are available at the shop starting at US$629.99 and US$729.99, respectively.
