The new Android phones will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets in 2022, and the rumor is that its successor will release with an upgrade in performance by this year-end. The digital confidant, Digital Chat Station through Android Central, says the new chipset will come with a high-frequency type with a speed of 3.4 to 3.5 GHz, which is currently only 3.2 GHz. As a result, there will be a boost in graphic performance which will be higher than the Apple A16 Bionic chip, which is present in the new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen Chipset   The claim that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset can overtake some phones' high-performing A16 Bionic chip is quite an ambitious statement, one which cannot be substantiated right now. The raw speed of the chipset is not the only factor; multiple factors result in the smartphone's performance. For example, program coding, heat resistance, and RAM availability are essential factors in the phone's ability to perform well. The strong point for Apple is that they do not depend on third-party chipmakers, software, and hardware processes for speed. Instead, they are in charge of the whole design process. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen Chipset   We may hear more about the next-gen chipset at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit in November from 15th to 17th. We will then be able to conclude the speed of the 2023 phones. Not many are aware or care about which chipset has been placed inside the handset but what is important is the phone's speed. Therefore, the release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is vital. The OnePlus 11 may be the first phone to get the new chipset, and it may be rolled out at the beginning of 2023 with top-tier specs to match the processor. Next in the line will be Samsung Galaxy S23. After that, the Snapdragon-powered version phone will be available all over the world with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.   A quick look at some of the phones that are already running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, making it possible to get the Gen 2 chipset are:
  • OnePlus 10 Pro
  • Sony Xperia 1 IV
  • Samsung Galaxy S22
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Xiaomi 12 Pro And many more.
