Wreck, a comedy on BBC Three, will return for a second season. The seafaring show received a second six-episode order from BBC Three controller Fiona Campbell and former acting director of BBC drama Ben Irving. Its creator Ryan J. Brown and Fremantle-owned Euston Film will once again produce it in Northern Ireland in 2023. According to the logline, "The Valorum corporation is out for blood, searching out the gang who overthrew the ship, after the dramatic events on The Sacramentum cruise liner." Jamie and Vivian have so far been unable to reveal the lethal secret of the organization, but our team is determined to gather their former shipmates and live long enough to reveal the upcoming great thing in twisted entertainment. On dry land, things aren't always safer. Wreck gets a Season 2 order from the BBC (EXCLUSIVE) The production will be handled by Euston Film, with executive producer Noemi Spanos. Together with Tommy Bulfin, Brown executive produces for the BBC. The first season's director and executive producer, Chris Baugh, is back for the second. Fremantle is the worldwide rights representative. On the BBC streaming service iPlayer, season one is still accessible for viewing. Brown exclaimed, "I'm incredibly excited to be serving up another piece of "Wreck." "In 2023, we'll return, bigger and bloodier. The finest feeling is to have BBC Three's confidence in us confirmed. To finally realize my grand aspirations for where our tale could go would be an honor. We were up against it when filming [season] one because of our enormous ambition, but our cast and crew, led by our fearless director Chris Baugh, persevered in an inspiring way. At its core, "Wreck" is a story about a group of underdogs fighting back and accomplishing the impossible, and in some ways, it felt like that when we were filming [season] one. It is an honor to see the results of all of our efforts, and I can't wait to do it again.” Wreck gets a Season 2 order from the BBC (EXCLUSIVE) "I'm thrilled that 'Wreck' is returning for a second series," Baugh remarked. I adore Ryan's writing and am eager to see where he takes this narrative. I'm really eager to watch our fantastic cast re-enter this extraordinary universe, and I'm also pleased that we are bringing the program back to Northern Ireland, where we have a top-notch team that put incredible effort and ingenuity into the first season. The fact that BBC Three has already approved a second season of this show is a credit to the amazing creative talent involved, said Spanos.
