The judge has begun the count-out of 10 seconds for WWE in addition to Hulu's stream contract. If there isn't an agreement on or before Saturday, the website could be taken down. The issue concerns second-day streaming rights that are granted to the WWE's programming. At present, Hulu has exclusive streaming rights to live WWE programming, including its week-long WWE RAW and Smackdownand NXTshows in the initial 30 days. The shows are then broadcast on Peacock through their WWE Network. As per Mike Johnson at PWInsider, "The two sides are still trying to come to an agreement for rights to second-day use and discussions continue." Hulu as well as the WWE began their partnership in 2012 when the two companies joined forces. In the years since the streaming service has seen significant transformations. Disney became the majority owner after buying Fox's 67% stake in the company. NBCUniversal is the owner of the remaining 33 percent. In addition, WWE CEO Vince McMahon recently announced his retirement. Theoretically, Peacock could just stream the shows the next day following the date they first air.
