According to Mashable, Xiaomi recently unveiled the Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Additionally, this is the company's first augmented reality headset. It has two MicroOLED screens, which offer retina-level displays and an industry-leading 58 pixels per degree of density. Furthermore, a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 chip with gesture control powers the AR glasses. By waving their fingers in front of their faces, users may control the AR glasses. The glasses still have a traditional appearance, but they are made of a magnesium-lithium alloy with 128 grams of carbon fiber. In addition, they aren't exactly lightweight glasses, and they appear to be large on the face but significantly smaller than the majority of current VR headsets. Additionally, the Xiaomi AR glasses must be connected to a Xiaomi 13 phone or another Snapdragon Spaces-capable device in order to be used.  And the fact that AR glasses are wireless and powered by a self-designed silicon-oxygen anode battery is one of their main selling advantages. However, its battery life is still mostly a mystery. But, rather than relying solely on gestures, the AR glasses may be connected to a smartphone and utilized to manage the smartphone. Users can also watch videos on TikTok and YouTube, which will transform the glasses into a portable theatre. In addition, it has control over smart home gadgets. However, the Xiaomi AR glasses' availability and cost have not yet been disclosed.

More details

There are several varieties of AR glasses on the market right now. The Magic Leap One and Microsoft HoloLens are two of the most well-known brands. Users can engage with digital 3D content and holograms in the actual world with the HoloLens, a portable holographic computer. And Magic Leap One is a mixed reality headgear with a digital light-field display and six degrees of freedom tracking. On another note, there are many other AR glasses available, such as the Vuzix Blade, ODG R-8, and Epson Moverio BT-300FPV. These glasses have capabilities for virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. They can be utilized for work, play, and leisure purposes. Also, a lot of businesses—including Apple, Google, and Facebook—are creating AR eyewear. So, future releases of these companies' own AR glasses are likely.
