Xiaomi claims in a post on Weibo that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 will power the Redmi Note 12R Pro. This modern chipset has an Adreno 619 GPU, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, and two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor also enables the smartphone to have an integrated 5G modem and up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

A 48 MP primary camera and an OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate have also been confirmed by Xiaomi. In other words, even though Xiaomi already sells the Redmi Note 12 5G in China, it looks that Xiaomi has rebranded the gadget. If so, the Redmi Note 12R Pro will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000 mAh battery that enables 33 W wired charging. It is uncertain if the Redmi Note 12R Pro would initially just be available in China.
