Chicago to get Flying taxi service using eVTOL aircraft

United Airlines and air mobility start-up Archer Aviation announced impending service for hops btw downtown Chicago and O’Hare International Airport.

The service would provide passengers going to and from the airport with a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and low-noise alternative to ground transportation.

Beginning in 2025, Archer’s eVTOL Midnight aircraft will travel from downtown Chicago’s Vertiport to O’Hare in just 10 minutes, cutting the time compared to the 75-minute train ride.

Archer Midnight is a four-passenger aircraft with a pilot seat that is propelled by six battery packs connected to electric engines.
