David Hasselhoff, 70, and Hayley Roberts, 42, shrug off age difference as duo snapped on the PDA at MTV EMAs 2022

On November 13, 2022, the PSD Bank Dome in Germany, David Hasselhoff and his wife Hayley Roberts were sighted on the red carpet at the MTV EMAs 2022. On the red carpet of the celebrity-studded event, the couple even shared a kiss as they posed for pictures. How did the couple meet?

The Welsh model approached the celebrity for an autograph when she was working as a sales assistant at a Debenhams department store. She was duped by Hasselhoff, who said that he would only sign the autograph if she agreed to disclose her phone number. Before getting engaged in 2016, Roberts and Hasselhoff had been dating for nearly seven years. 2018 saw the couple's marriage.

The 28-year age gap

Though the couple has amazing chemistry, one of the significant factors discussed by people about them is their 28-year age gap. Roberts once said, "I don't want to miss out on being with someone I love because of what might happen down the line," reported smoothradio.com. Meanwhile, according to The Sun, Hasselhoff claimed earlier, "To be honest, the reason I haven’t got married yet is that I know it’s not going to be a perfect relationship. We’re not going to grow old together, let’s face it. Sometimes I think I love her enough to say, ‘Go and find a man of your age and have a life. We had a great time and we love each other but...’That would be horrible, and it would probably take years to get over." I want to trap her, because this is one that I really love, and this is the one when I got down on my knees and said, “Will you marry me?” It was from my heart. It wasn't an ultimatum. My other marriages were kind of like, well, you've got to get married, or there was an ultimatum. This one is something that I wanted to do."

Prior relationships and children

Hasselhoff, though, has a long history. Between 1970 and 1971, he fell in love with Roberta Leighton and proposed to her. Hasselhoff dated Linda Morris for a year from 1988 to 1989 after the couple broke up. The two, though, split up.

Prior to Catherine Hickland, Hasselhoff was married to Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff (1989–2006). (1984-1989). David and Roberts don't have any kids. Taylor and Hayley, however, are daughters he shares with his ex-wife Pamela.
