Deets on Elvis Presley and Venetia Stevenson's relationship revealed

Actress Venetia Stevenson, often dubbed "the most photogenic girl in the world," gained notoriety for her relationship with Elvis Presley. And although the actress passed away in September at the age of 84, her sister Caroline Stevenson recently discussed her sibling's bond with the music legend in an interview with Fox News. Caroline revealed how Venetia and the King of Rock 'n' Roll fell in love in the late 1950s, mentioning how Presley was head over heels for Venetia. Caroline stated, "Elvis Presley was one of the most polite, wonderful, genuine kind men she’s ever met. Of course, me being a teenager, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, is Venetia going to marry Elvis?’ “ Furthermore, they were first captured on camera when Venetia visited Presley in Memphis, Tennessee, for a screening of the movie "Loving You." Venetia was the daughter of "Mary Poppins" director Robert Stevenson and "General Hospital" star Anna Lee. The "Suspicious Minds" singer "couldn’t have been nicer," Caroline continued. I know they stayed in separate bedrooms because she made it very clear that’s how she wanted it. He respected that."  Caroline further exclaimed, "And she thought he was just wonderful. But nothing ever evolved beyond that. Can’t imagine why. I mean, we were all doing flip-flops whenever he walked into a room."

Presley was so "down-to-earth," in Caroline's opinion, that he once strolled into a nearby restaurant with Venetia for a hamburger. Caroline recalled, "The waitress was just swooning. And here he is saying, ‘This food is delicious. But you’ve got to make this lettuce smaller. You’ve gotta chop it up. Chop this lettuce up, or it just falls off the hamburger.’ Meanwhile, the waitress is just fainting almost on the floor." And in the end, Venetia married "West Side Story" actor Russ Tamblyn in 1956, whom she divorced in 1957. She later married Don Everly of the Everly Brothers in 1962. Venetia left Hollywood after her marriage to Everly, with whom she had three children.
