According to Waziri, the papyrus, also known as the "Waziri Papyrus," was restored in the Egyptian Museum's Tahrir restoration facility. It is the first papyrus ever discovered by an Egyptian and has the name of an Egyptian.
The papyrus, which has sections from the Pharaonic Book of the Dead, was found inside one of the 250 tombs at the Saqqara site.
The Book of the Deceased contains ancient Egyptian proclamations and charms intended to assist the dead in the afterlife. The majority of the book's contents are compositions for funerals and is older than 50 BCE.
Waziri claimed that translations of the papyrus, which will be on display at the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, are currently being done from Hierarchical to Hieroglyphics to Arabic.
The extraordinary find could provide new insights into ancient Egyptian ideas on the afterlife.

According to the MET Museum, the ancient Nilotic environment includes papyrus, which was important to the ancient Egyptians in both practical and symbolic ways.
The stem of the papyrus plant was also used to make ropes, mats, sails, and paper. The Greeks later adopted the papyrus paper used by the ancient Egyptians as their primary writing medium. In addition to producing literary works in roll or scroll form, it was also utilized to create communications and legal documents.
According to the MET, papyrus plant-shaped columns were frequently used to support the ceilings of temples and tombs, giving these structures the appearance of ancient wetlands.
