Fun Weekend Project Is Using SideQuest to Unlock Your Meta Quest

More importantly, SideQuest is helpful for so much more than just customising Beat Saber; it allows you to sideload user-created games and experiences and even alter the Quest home environment, which serves as the background for the system menus and app selector. Installing SideQuest on your PC is the first thing you need to do. Go to the website and select Easy or Advanced installation to download first. However, both will guide you through the installation of SideQuest on your Quest. The Easy option is the quickest route there if you're content with just using your headset to manage your collection. Open the SideQuest app after downloading and installing it. Both versions come with setup instructions for installing SideQuest onto your headset, and if the procedure changes, those instructions might be more recent.  Meta Quest Create your developer profile. Your Quest must be running in development mode in order to use SideQuest. You must first sign up with Meta as a developer.
  • Click the Sign-Up button after reading the instructions at developer.oculus.com/sign-up/.
  • Connect to your Facebook, Meta, or Oculus account, depending on the headset you use.
  • Create an organization from there, giving it any name you wish.
  • You will switch your Quest into developer mode in the following step.
Meta Quest The simplest method is to open the Quest app on your phone, select Menu, then select Devices.
  • Scroll down to Headset Settings after selecting your quest.
  • Use the toggle to activate developer mode by tapping Developer Settings.
At this point, you can use a USB cord to connect your Quest to your computer and turn it on (if it isn't already).  To confirm two prompts—one asking if you want to allow USB debugging and the other asking if you want to allow data transfer—you'll need to turn it on for a brief period of time. For both, press Allow.
