Hong Kong designers are using AiDA to create looks for the runway

The Fashion X AI exhibition in Hong Kong featured more than 80 outfits from 14 designers, all of which were created using the artificial intelligence tool AiDA (AI-based Interactive Design Assistant), as per reports. Researchers and Ph.D. students at AiDLab are the people responsible for the innovative AI software. According to Calvin Wong, CEO of AiDLab, the software was created as a tool for designers. In essence, it acts as a collaborative assistant for a fashion designer. Together, AI and designers may produce the desired collection. Wong pointed out that the AiDA system's picture creation, detection, and recognition functions are all powered by AI technologies. The algorithm in the software generates blueprints that designers may alter and customise by adding quick sketches, materials, and colour schemes to a digital mood board. He said that as he used the software more, AiDa began to gradually learn his own designs. He indicates that the algorithms will provide suggestions based on his preferred fashion trends, lines, and databases. Fashion designer Yulia Tlili stated that she wanted AI designs to take centre stage in the collection. She noted that while they weren't as as revolutionary as the collections she had helped design in the future when she initially started her profession, AI still has a lot of promise. AiDA, which was publicly unveiled during the Fashion X AI exhibition, is available to designers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Over the past few years, AI has progressively become more prevalent in our daily lives. We can only assume that it will keep advancing different facets of our civilization. In terms of fashion, tools like AiDA demonstrate that AI doesn't really replace designers' work; rather, it helps them improve their collections. In some circumstances, it also aids in helping people recognise their finest clothing choices. Researchers from the University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin), Cornell Tech, Georgia Tech, and Facebook AI Research, for instance, have created an AI system that may be used to offer personalised fashion recommendations. The Fashion++ project was created with the idea that fashionability should be boosted with the least amount of changes. The system assesses a variety of clothing characteristics, such as colour, pattern, texture, and shape, and then offers recommendations in light of its results. It is currently safe to state that AI will not overtake the fashion industry, but it undoubtedly will.
