How to connect your Wii U to television is described in this article.

Locate a Location for Your Wii U Once your Wii U console and all of its parts have been removed from the box, you must choose a location for the console. It ought to be set up close to your television on a flat surface.

The Wii U console lies flat by default, but you can sit it upright if you have a stand, like the one that comes with the Deluxe set. Two plastic pieces that resemble short "U"s make up the stand. When the console is flat, they move to the right side of it. The stand pieces' slots line up with the tabs protruding from the console.

Connect the Wii U's cables The back of the Wii U is connected by three cables. Connect the AC adapter to a power outlet. Now insert the yellow-coded end of the AC adapter, which is on the other end, into the Wii U's yellow port. You can correctly orient it by observing the port's shape.

If you have a Wii that you intend to disconnect, you can simply connect your Wii sensor bar to your Wii U; it's the same connector. Take the sensor cable, which is coded red, and plug it into the red port, whose shape will also show you how it goes in. An HDMI cable that resembles a smiling mouth is included with the Wii U. You can connect everything if your TV has an HDMI port, which has the same shape as an HDMI port.  If Your TV Is Not Equipped with an HDMI Port Older TVs might not have an HDMI connector, but the Wii U comes with one. You'll require a multi-out cable in that situation. The cable you used to connect your Wii to the TV will work with your Wii U. You will need to purchase a cable if not.

You can use a component cable if the TV is compatible with them, in which case the back of your TV will have two audio ports in red and white and three round video ports in red, green, and blue. There should be three A/V ports on your TV that are white, red, and yellow if you can't see that. Get a multi-out cable with those three connectors in that situation. You will need that three-connector multi-out cable in addition to the proper RF modulator if your TV only has a coaxial cable connector. Another option is to use the A/V input and coaxial output on your VCR if you have one. You could also just purchase a new TV. Plug the multi-out connector into the Wii U and the other connectors into your TV once you have the appropriate cable. Position the Wii U Sensor Bar The sensor bar can be positioned either directly below the TV's screen or on top of it. It ought to be in the center of the display. The two sticky foam pads on the underside of the sensor should have the plastic film removed. Next, the sensor should be gently pressed into position. To prevent the signal from being blocked if you mount the sensor on top, make sure its front is flush with the TV's front.

Since it's less likely to be blocked by low objects like my feet on an ottoman or a child, we prefer the sensor bar to be on top of the TV. Also read: How Do You Connect Bluetooth Speakers to the PS5?

Install the Wii U gamepad. Either a cradle or a gamepad AC adapter can be used to charge the gamepad (which comes with the Deluxe Set). The best locations to charge the gamepad are close to your console or where you usually sit so it is always available. You can charge the gamepad anywhere that is close to an electrical outlet.

Simply insert one end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet and the other end into the port on the top of the gamepad if you are only using it to power the device. When using the cradle, place it on a flat surface after inserting the AC adapter into the bottom of the cradle. When the gamepad is inserted, the home button rests in the area marked by a notch on the front of the cradle.
