It's annoying when your iPhone starts to run slowly. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to address this problem and restore your phone's usual performance.

How to Increase iPhone Speed?

Various problems can lead to a slow iPhone. Ageing is the most prevalent one because it will eventually affect all phones. Older iPhone models come with hardware that is largely out of date, whereas newer phones are speedier and have more cores, RAM, and better GPUs. According to How to Geek, your phone will start to age well before it reaches the seven-year mark. Performance issues on newer devices could be brought on by software issues.  This covers operating system flaws, iOS problems, and failure to update. According to LifeWire, it is best to always purchase the most recent version of iOS. Slowdowns may also be brought on by hardware problems, including errors or even physical harm. As your phone battery ages, it may no longer be able to provide enough power without quickly emptying.

Restart your iPhone

According to MacWorld, this is an excellent place to start because it provides your phone some downtime, even for a few minutes. You can do this on a contemporary iPhone with Face ID by pressing and holding the power and volume buttons until you see the slider appear. Slide it, wait for your phone to shut off, then press and hold the power button to turn it back on. On earlier devices, holding the power button will accomplish the same thing.

Turn off the Low Power Mode

Low Power Mode Battery life can be prolonged by using the Low Power Mode, or LPM. The performance was hurt by the longer battery life. This is evident when you benchmark your phone while LPM is active because your results will be lower. Go to Settings, then Battery, and enable Low Power Mode to disable the option. Additionally, it can be turned off via the Control Center or automated using Shortcuts.

Change the Battery

Your iPhone may automatically lower its clock speed to conserve battery life if your battery is not in good condition. The problem is that a slower-running phone uses less power and has a longer battery life. Pay close attention to the section on performance capability. You might need to replace the battery if your iPhone does not report Peak Performance Capability. Only a few years are provided by batteries. No particular period of time applies, however if the battery's maximum capacity is 70%, your phone has already lost more than 25% of its total runtime. Whether or not performance difficulties have started, changing your battery at that point is a wise decision unless you want to upgrade your phone. If your iPhone is brand-new, it's important to maintain the health of your battery by allowing it to cool down after prolonged use.
