The portable gaming system known as the Steam Deck has a lot of imitators in today's market. But what makes that enjoyable? Building your own computer is the genuine essence of PC gaming. And someone recently created a homemade gaming handheld that supports Windows games by using that principle. Using a system created by Reddit user SerMumble, they may play games on the go. The actual build includes a lot of aftermarket components, such as a small ASRock motherboard designed for tiny PCs, a tiny keyboard, a 3D-printed chassis, batteries, and a 9-inch monitor. An AMD Ryzen 7 4800U processor with eight cores and 16 threads, an integrated Radeon Vega 7 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD power the computer itself. Since it's only using a desktop motherboard that's been modified, these specifications can be changed; for example, it supports up to 64GB of SODIMM DDR4 memory and greater storage and connectivity thanks to the presence of m.2 slots. However, the battery life isn't very long. According to the designer, it lasts "1-5.5hrs" on standard lithium-ion battery cells. Cyberdeck It's a really cool project that's also pretty adaptable. ASRock also provides a number of motherboards that may be utilized in a setup like this and feature Ryzen 5000U-series CPUs if you'd want something more advanced than AMD's Ryzen 4000 APUs. The only thing stopping you when it comes to DIY is your imagination, and this project shows that even something as complex as a Steam Deck-like device is within your grasp. However, it might appear more like a Frankenstein creation than a video game console.
