Jennifer Lopez decorated for the holidays in flair with a unique concept this year. Additionally, in the most recent edition of her On the JLo newsletter, the 53-year-old Marry Me actress posted pictures from her holiday celebrations and said that she based her Christmas theme and aesthetic this year around the idea of the hummingbird. Lopez stated in her newsletter, "To me, hummingbirds are messengers of love." She added, “They're also the fastest bird but they always have time to stop, eat something sweet and smell the roses. I identify with them, but more than anything whenever I see one, I feel like it's a sign from God that everything is going to be OK." Even Lopez's Christmas tree was decked out with teal blue, silver, and gold hummingbird ornaments, which she complemented in Instagram photographs with a teal blue dress with red ribbon designs. In addition, the dress had a white flower-patterned collar and cuffs. Lopez accessorized the dress with red patent leather ankle strap platforms and white floral earrings. Additionally, she revealed, “So, I decided this year that the hummingbird would be a perfect theme,” adding that she had even written a song with that name for her next album. “We have blended families, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents, and triple the chaos!!" <

Moreover, Jennifer Lopez also acknowledged that the bird had an impact on her choice of clothing for the glitzy holiday party she and Ben Affleck, 50, hosted at their Los Angeles home earlier this month. She wrote, "I also picked hummingbird colors for my holiday party dress this year. It's a Gucci dress that I've had in my closet which I bought a year ago and I've been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it. I thought it was perfect for our Hummingbird Christmas Party." The spectacular floor-length silk dress had long sleeves and was covered in what appeared to be fan or wing patterns in different shades of silver, teal, and green. Additionally, the dress's high neckline was adorned with a silver design, and its sleeves poofed around her wrist before changing into velvet black cuffs. Lastly, she added silver drop earrings to the dress and styled her hair in a sophisticated ponytail.

This was the first time in a long time we were able to get together with people that we haven't seen in forever. The party was filled with family, friends, colleagues, and people we've known from over the years. We sang and danced and had the most amazing time.” Furthermore, a number of party videos appeared on social media, including one showing Lopez leading the throng in a heartfelt performance of "Jingle Bells" while holding the microphone out to the assembled guests. Affleck also joined in the fun as well, taking the mic to perform John Legend's "By Christmas Eve." He and Lopez were also seen kissing and cuddling in a different video.
