Just make this single iPhone setting to prevent thieves from stealing your phone and selling it

Because they can rapidly sell iPhones for quick cash, thieves love to steal them. So, in order to stop them, we'll show you how to update the most crucial security option on your iPhone right now. First of all, you should be aware that if your iPhone is stolen, a cunning criminal may swipe down to activate aeroplane mode before turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data to prevent you from tracking it using the Find My app. But there's an easy way to block them from doing this and here it is.

Disable Control Center when iPhone is locked

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Face ID & Passcode
  3. Enter your passcode
  4. Scroll down to the section for "Allow Access When Locked"
  5. Toggle off Control Center.
To avoid Face ID recognising you and unlocking the phone automatically if you change this setting and try to test it, make sure you're not looking directly at the phone. This way, you'll still be able to swipe down. Give it to a friend or family member and ask them to try to swipe down to open the Control Center, or hold the phone off to the side so Face ID can't detect you.
