Kate Winslet talks about filming with daughter Mia Threapleton in "I Am Ruth"

Kate Winslet winner spoke up about working with her 22-year-old daughter Mia Threapleton on their new drama, I Am Ruth, in an interview with BBC One's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg last week. Winslet, 47, said of her kid, "Actually, I was just so blown away by her. I mean, she didn't need my help at all." She went on: "Sometimes I could introduce her to a technical trick here and there. Just little things I picked up along the way, like changing an eye line ... Little things like that, that no one teaches you. And she appreciated that stuff." But Winslet acknowledged that her daughter would declare, "I'm good," and try acting on her own. "And there were times when I would say, 'Can I just one...' 'No, no, no, I'm good,'" she said. Additionally, I Am Ruth is a segment of the I Am drama anthology for Channel 4 that was devised and co-written by Winslet and Dominic Savage. Moreover, when talking about filming with Threapleton, Winslet remarked, "We had the added bonus of knowing how to push each other's buttons, which I can tell you we can do quite well and definitely lent on that resource considerably when we were filming."

Earlier this week, Kate Winslet admitted during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine that her daughter, who she has with her ex-husband Jim Threapleton, would even tell her to "shut up."
