King Charles III has been busy making changes within the royal family since assuming the throne a little over three months ago. The palace announced on Wednesday that the King gave new titles to Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles and revealed the date for his birthday celebration, known as the Trooping the Colors. The position of honorary Colonel of the Irish Guard was officially given to Charles' daughter-in-law, a title previously held by her husband. The Prince of Wales was appropriately chosen as Colonel of the Welsh Guards in light of Middleton's new position. And the Queen Consort will fill the position of the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, which was formerly held by the disgraced Prince Andrew. Furthermore, the annual Trooping of the Colours will now be held on June 17, 2023, despite the fact that Charles' 75th birthday is really in November. By choosing to organize the parade months before his actual naming day due to better weather, the King appears to have followed the example set by his late mother. According to Buckingham Palace, the procession, which also honors the armed forces, will feature more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. In fact, a few royals will ride horses in the procession as thousands of spectators watch from a distance. Moreover, the big day is scheduled to occur just six weeks after Charles' coronation day, which may result in another family gathering. Interestingly, King Charles III intends to invite his son Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, to the ceremony, despite their tense relationship, according to the Daily Mail. The insider claimed, "Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him. While things are difficult at the moment, the door will always be left ajar.”
