Samsung is getting ready to introduce the Galaxy S23 shortly, with a launch event already set for February 1. As things are being prepared for launch, there are many potential for information to leak, and official S23 images have arrived at WinFuture. The images perfectly match the renders that OnLeaks published a few months ago. This year, the Galaxy S series adopts the Ultra model's camera design cues and opts for individual camera lenses rather than a large corner camera block. Additionally, the sides are shown, which are nonetheless pleasantly contoured and ought to be a little more comfortable to handle than flat-sided devices. The S23 Plus should look exactly like the base model S23, however WinFuture's images are technically of that model. "Phantom Black" (black), "Botanic Green" (green), "Mystic Lilac" (pink/purple), and "Cotton Flower" (white) are the colors that are currently offered, according to WinFuture. It's anticipated that the S23 Ultra will resemble the S22 Ultra exactly. This indicates that it departs from the rounded-corner form of the standard model and is instead an aggressively rectangular slab of glass with flat edges on the top and bottom. The main improvement to the more expensive variant is the additional space for an S-Pen provided by the flat edges and sharp corners. The S23 line will feature standard spec enhancements. The latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will be the one the phone comes with in the US. Globally, Samsung frequently distributes Exynos to some regions, however the phone division and the chip division have had a rough relationship due to the subpar performance of Samsung's own system-on-chip line. Europe and the UK received the Exynos 2200 for the S22. That's going to change this year, and the chief financial officer of Qualcomm is a fairly reliable source for that information. During its most recent earnings call, Qualcomm stated that it has "entered into a new multiyear deal with Samsung, expanding the use of Snapdragon platforms for future premium Samsung Galaxy products across the globe." The agreement, according to Qualcomm CFO Akash Palkhiwala, means that "our stake from 75% in [the Galaxy] S22 goes up to worldwide share in G S23." Although it's unclear exactly what "global share" implies, there's a high possibility it refers to the entire S23 product line, which effectively puts Exynos flagship smartphones out of business. Samsung may receive special treatment from Qualcomm as a result of making a whole commitment to the Snapdragon. Because Samsung will be receiving a unique, faster-clocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, Samsung was not listed among the launch partners for the chip.
