New study shows how T-Mobile has an edge on its competitors Verizon and AT&T

The Q1 2023 Ookla report for US mobile Internet speeds is now out. T-Mobile continues to outperform rivals thanks to its quicker download speeds, highest consistency, lowest latency, and other advantages. Here is a comparison of the figures.
The makers of the well-known Speedtest, Ookla, released their study on US mobile and broadband Internet performance for the first quarter of 2023.
With a median download speed that is more than twice as fast as Verizon and AT&T, T-Mobile has maintained its lead over the competition in the mobile service market. The Uncarrier also triumphed in nearly all other metrics that Ookla evaluated.
US Mobile speeds for Q1 2023
For the first quarter of 2023, T-Mobile's median download speed was 164.76 Mbps. At 72.61 Mbps and 66.16 Mbps, respectively, Verizon and AT&T had median download speeds that were more than 2x slower.
The main US providers' typical upload speeds ranged from 5 to 7 Mbps, with T-Mobile topping the list at 12.16 Mbps.
For latency, T-Mobile just beat out Verizon with 54 ms:
For consistency, T-Mobile scored an 86.1%. Here’s how Ookla describes this metric: “In measuring the Consistency of each operator’s performance, we found that T-Mobile had the highest Consistency in the U.S. during Q2 2023, with 86.1% of results showing at least 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds. Verizon Wireless and AT&T followed at 81.5% and 79.2%, respectively.”
Additionally, T-Mobile maintained a significant lead over Verizon and AT&T for 5G median download speeds at 220 Mbps:
