New Xbox Home UI From Microsoft Resembles Massive Game Pass Adv.

Last month, Microsoft began testing a new Xbox Home UI that will be released in 2023.  Although there are some much-needed changes, the home part of the Xbox dashboard is beginning to feel like one big Xbox Game Pass advertisement. I tried an early version of the Home UI this week. Six tiles that are now all the same size across the top row of the main interface have replaced the larger tile for the most recent app or game.  These are the newest games or apps, and I'm happy to note that Microsoft has eliminated current lists of programs like Settings and the Microsoft Store given that you can reach them quickly from the new Xbox Home UI. While most Xbox users have been requesting a home screen with a less crowded user interface (UI), this dated tiled appearance does nothing to highlight the dynamic backgrounds and wallpapers available on the device.  New Xbox Home UI From Microsoft Resembles a Massive Game Pass Adv. Thankfully, there are now only two instead of three tiles set aside for advertisements in the main part, but when you scroll down, you'll see that this home screen is one big advertisement for Xbox Game Pass. There is a section for recently added Xbox Game Pass games below the main home screen. The addition of this alone makes sense for Game Pass subscribers, but when you read further down, it becomes obvious that every area exists only to promote game downloads or purchases through the Microsoft Store or Game Pass. However, the major problem is that you can no longer personalize this interface. In my opinion, this is fine as a default for new Xbox users.  It's simple to push a button or go into the settings on the current Xbox dashboard to rearrange sections, eliminate them, and give your own pinned apps top priority.
