A traditional Nigerian native law and custom wedding was held on November 25 at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta between the former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member and the entrepreneur of Nigerian descent. There were 250 guests present. According to People, the pair will exchange vows in front of 350 guests on Saturday night in an American ceremony. Simon, who is from Benin City in Nigeria's Edo State, and Porsha reportedly hired local Benin singers and dancers to perform at their wedding. Porsha changed her outfits three times throughout the day, calling it "a true fashion fiesta." The reality personality unintentionally showed the identical clothing to more than 2,000 of her Instagram followers earlier this month while live-streaming. For the reception, she changed into two distinct costumes by designer Tabik, one in royal blue and one in gold. The 250 guests, many of whom were Bravolebrities, wore purple and teal attire that was traditional or formal, as did the couple. The couple provided the cultural fabric that was used to dress their family members according to tradition for the day. Each member of the family can choose their own pattern for the fabric. It was a significant undertaking, Porsha acknowledged. "I personally selected the materials for their clothing, including their head wrap and gele. Every single hue was my choice. After this, I should be a stylist!" "It's going to be a beautiful expression of fashion, love, and family." Porsha said she wanted guests to feel as if they had "taken a flight and landed in Benin" for the reception, which was decked in "beautiful colors of browns and rose golds and tans and creams." "I want[ed] it to feel like an inside/outside space, but luxurious," says the author. Simon and Porsha also requested that their guests not use electronic devices, since they "want[ed] people to be in the moment." Simon Guobadia & Porsha Williams Despite being "adamant" that the occasion honor the businessman's upbringing, the author of "Pursuit of Porsha" saw to it that the meal included southern favorites like "fried lobster, sirloin, and cornbread." Monyetta Shaw, Drew Sidora, Cynthia Bailey, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Kandi Burruss, fellow "RHOA" graduates and stars, are anticipated to attend the ball and after-party that will follow the church service on Saturday. TI and his wife Tiny Harris are also invited.
