Prince William once disclosed the 80s song that he would belt out with his mother, Princess Diana. During his earlier appearance on the Apple Fitness+ podcast Time to Walk, the Prince of Wales shared some wonderful tales about life in the Royal Family. Additionally, William shared tales of his kids arguing over song selections and the mysteries of the Christmas Day church service. But what struck a particularly poignant chord with royal enthusiasts was when he talked about Diana, Princess of Wales, and the well-known 1980s tune she would sing in the car. William described how he would sing along on the way back to school and how today, whenever he hears it, it makes him think of his mother. He admitted to having concerns about going back to Ludgrove School, but he recalled the one song that would always make him feel better. And my mother used to play all sorts of songs to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to school." "And one of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner's 'The Best' because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment." And we'd even get the policeman in the car, he'd be occasionally singing along, as well." William remarked, "And when I listen to it now, it takes me back to those car rides and brings back lots of memories of my mother."

What's more

Prince William also discussed his children in other parts of the podcast, including the arguments they would have over the family's morning song preferences. William went on: "Most mornings there's a massive fight between Charlotte and George as to what song is played in the morning." Moreover, William revealed that the 2010 song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) by Shakira is one of the family's favorites to listen to. He stated: "The song Waka Waka by Shakira is one that the kids are now into. There are numerous hip movements occurring. There is a lot of costume wear." The song, according to Prince William, frequently leads to joyful moments in the home.
