Review of the beautiful mechanical keyboard KiiBOOM Phantom 81

Just one spin of the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 will convince you that the top peripheral makers have their work cut out for them going forward. As mechanical keyboard aficionados look for more enticing products and modders demand more hot-swappable possibilities, there are a number of mechanical keyboards from smaller, less well-known manufacturers that are challenging those from well-known names. Of course, the purpose of this is not to denigrate well-known companies like Logitech and Razer. They not only continue to produce absolutely outstanding items and have mastered their art, but they have also made it possible for these smaller firms to survive. A good illustration is the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 75% keyboard. KiiBOOM has nevertheless been able to accomplish something that distinguishes the Phantom 81 from the competition in the midst of this mechanical keyboard revolution. Since the majority of the keyboard is transparent, including the case and bespoke switches, it goes by the term "Phantom" and may be made to appear as though it is from a sci-fi or rave party. But it doesn't merely rely on its appearance. In terms of performance, it matches that of wireless keyboards from more well-known manufacturers. And we agree wholeheartedly, to the point that we can say this is one of the nicest keyboards we've thoroughly liked testing in a long time. This one falls into the upper mid-range and is offered to clients in the US, the UK, and Australia for $159, £128, and AU$233.18. Although it isn't cheap, it is reasonably priced for what you get: a sturdy mechanical keyboard that performs well, has a nice feature set, and can be hot-swapped (so you can mod to suit your current aesthetic). In addition, it costs less than other well-known transparent keyboards on the market. The CoolKiller CK75 costs $179 (about £165.99/AU$237.80), the Lofree 1% costs $219 (around £185/AU$325), and we will soon have a review of the Lofree 1%. If you want to join the transparent keyboard trend, the Phantom 81 is one of the more cheap options. The KiiBOOM Phantom 81 is still worth looking at even if you don't like that clear or transparent look, especially if you have a compact desk setting. In a compact, smaller-footprint design, it has a 75% layout with 81 keys (yes, including arrow keys) and a dedicated volume knob. You don't frequently get a well-made, premium-feeling keyboard from lesser-known brands.
