Following the introduction of Android 12L last month, Samsung is this week releasing its first full release of the upgraded version. The Galaxy S22 (regular, Plus, and Ultra) is the first phone to get the update, and carriers like Verizon indicate that it is already accessible.
The formal launches of tablets and foldable occurred in September, six months after Samsung's Android 12L release, and this Android 13 release occurred in February, two months after Google's. One reason for the quick response may be the fact that Android 13 is a very modest update, with the only user-facing features being notification permission and a new media player. Due to the Galaxy S22 never receiving Android 12L, this is the device's first substantial OS update.
