Signal Users Can Now Connect with Usernames Exclusively!

Signal, a renowned encrypted messaging software known for its emphasis on privacy, has finally enabled usernames for all users. You may now communicate with people on the network without disclosing your own phone number thanks to this fascinating new feature. The days of showing your phone number to strike up a conversation are long gone. You can now designate a distinctive username to use as your "Signal address." You just need to navigate to your settings and choose "Profile" to create your username. After you've chosen your username, you can create a unique URL or QR code that makes it simple for people to discover you on Signal. But how does it work? Signal usernames are not visible on your profile or chats, in contrast to usernames on other social media sites. They function more akin to a secret code that grants access to initiate communication with you. Although user privacy is of utmost importance, Signal recognizes the possibility of abuse. The messaging app advises users to cross-reference "safety numbers," which are distinct digits that appear in your profile, to confirm the sender's identity. Signal will also notify you if you are in a group conversation with people who have the same name as you and highlight any group chats that you are currently in with other users.
