*Slack is a very popular workplace management platform. Recently it has decided to introduce a suite of built-in AI features designed to help users stay up-to-date and informed. With Slack AI, catching up on lengthy threads and unread messages has never been easier. This new functionality, initially tested last year, is now being rolled out as a paid add-on for Slack Enterprise users.* Have you ever found yourself falling behind on a conversation thread that someone tagged you in? With Slack AI, you can now obtain a comprehensive summary of the entire conversation, including who said what. Additionally, you have the option to receive recaps of ongoing discussions in your channels. To get this new feature, basically, click on the star symbol situated at the upper right corner of a channel. From that point, Slack AI intelligence can sum up unread messages, display messages from beyond seven days, or even channel messages inside a particular time period. When you return to work after a short absence and need to quickly catch up on what you missed, this feature comes in especially handy. Slack AI goes beyond thread summaries and recaps. It also allows you to ask questions about specific projects or your workplace policies mentioned in Slack. By utilizing "relevant messages," the AI tool can provide you with the information you're seeking. It can even define acronyms commonly used in your workplace's Slack. Moreover, Slack AI seamlessly integrates with other apps connected to Slack, expanding its capabilities. For example, you can receive summaries of Notion documents through link previews or ask questions about content stored in Box. Also Read: Amazon Is Shutting Down the Echo Connect But that's not all. Slack is continuously working on enhancing its AI capabilities. The company is developing additional tools to summarize and prioritize information. One upcoming feature is the digest, which offers highlights from your chosen channels, sparing you the need to scroll through numerous messages when time is limited. Furthermore, Slack is working on integrating Einstein Copilot, an AI chatbot that can write messages on your behalf. It's important to note that Slack emphasizes the security and privacy of user data. The large language models (LLMs) used by Slack AI are hosted directly within Slack, ensuring that customer data remains isolated and is not shared with third parties. Customer data is not utilized to train LLMs either. Currently, Slack AI is available in US and UK English, with plans to support additional languages in the near future. All in all, Slack artificial intelligence is a significant expansion to the stage, engaging clients to make up for lost time with extensive threads, unread messages, and significant work environment data. Slack is revolutionizing the way we stay connected and informed in our professional environments with its AI-driven capabilities.
