The company has since verified that it is real and is soon arriving to compete with the Steam Deck, despite everyone initially believing it to be an April Fool's hoax. Although ASUS withheld the handheld's official specs, the Linus and Dave2D YouTube channels have shared hands-on videos of the prototype gadget. While the Steam Deck is powered by a specialized AMD 4nm Zen 4-based Processor, ASUS says that the Ally will provide two times the performance of the Steam Deck. This boasts a 7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) 16:9 screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is twice as fast as the Steam Deck in terms of resolution and refresh rate. Its brightness is 500 nits. When you attach the eGPU, it can output 4K via the display connector. A USB Type-C port, which is a component of the connecting port, is present and is used for 65W charging. It should have a storage option of up to 1 TB and an M.2 2230 SSD. The gadget has two element heat sinks, a heat pipe, top vents, and intakes on the rear. As opposed to the steam deck, this is much quieter. Also Read: ASUS confirms ROG Phone 7 release date for 2023

To be notified when the ROG Ally is ready for pre-order and accessible in-store and online, ASUS has now launched a page for North America and Canada. The ASUS ROG Ally is anticipated later this year, and ASUS promises that the price will be competitive. Will it face off against Steam Deck? To find out, we will have to wait a few more months.
