When the new Arizona facility opens in 2024, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. will provide cutting-edge chips in response to requests from its largest US clients, including Apple. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. has complied with Apple's demand that the business produces and market a significantly more sophisticated chip than it has in the past. In 2024, when the $12 billion Arizona facility begins to operate, the firm will reportedly sell a cutting-edge 4-nanometer chip. It was originally intended to offer 5-nanometer semiconductors, a standard that will be far past its prime by 2024. Apple, Advanced Micro Devices Inc., and Nvidia Corp. are just a few of the well-known tech businesses that depend on TSMC for their chip manufacturing requirements.  According to reports, the two aforementioned corporations have also asked TSMC to provide cutting-edge processors at the Arizona plant. TSMC The ceremony is expected to take place the following week, and Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook has previously announced that his business intends to purchase chips from the Arizona plant. We've already decided to buy out of a facility in Arizona, and this plant in Arizona gets up in '24, so we have about two years ahead of us on that one, possibly a little less. One of Apple's attempts to lessen its dependency on Taiwanese manufacturers may be its desire for TSMC to provide cutting-edge processors in Arizona. Cook shared this knowledge with local engineering and retail personnel at a meeting in Germany. Both Nvidia Head Jensen Huang and AMD Chief Executive Officer Lisa Su are anticipated to attend the event. All of the parties listed (TSMC, Apple, AMD, and Nvidia) declined to comment on this topic when questioned by multiple outlets to confirm the news. This TSMC news is anticipated to be officially disclosed next Tuesday, December 6, at the ceremony visit of US President Joe Biden and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to Phoenix. As confirmed by the TSMC founder, the company also stated that they will be committing to constructing a second nearby plant that will produce considerably more sophisticated 3-nanometer chips.
