The release of the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 is still months away. Unfortunately, a number of benchmark listings leaked. According to the Geekbench listings, Samsung intends to sell the two later this year with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset that it offers in the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 successors are not anticipated to be released until the end of the summer, with August being a possible date for the company's subsequent Galaxy Unpacked event. Meanwhile, the model numbers SM-F731U and SM-F946U of what look to be early Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Fold5 units have been discovered on Geekbench. For whatever reason, there are seven examples of the SM-F731U listed in Geekbench 6 CPU and Geekbench 6 Compute, but only one listing for the SM-F946U.

According to the listings that have been publicly disclosed so far, it appears that Samsung will once again sell their foldable smartphones with the same CPU as its premium Galaxy S series. In summary, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 with the Snapdragon 888, which were similar to the Galaxy S21 series outside of Europe. Nevertheless, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 found in the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 launched in August 2017 had numerous improvements over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the Galaxy S22 series.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a faster variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that Samsung already offers across the Galaxy S23 series, will power the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5, according to Geekbench. As a result, the performance of the Galaxy S23 series and Samsung's fifth-generation foldables should be comparable. Interestingly, according to Geekbench, the Galaxy Z Flip5 will have 8 GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Fold5 will have 12 GB. Additional improvements, like as improved screens, a gap-free closure, and a larger cover display for the Galaxy Z Flip5 than its predecessor, are expected for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5.
