Who is Morghan Medlock? Why did she sue Lil Wayne?

Morghan Medlock, Lil Wayne's former personal chef, is suing the rapper on the grounds that she was unlawfully terminated because she had to miss work to care for her injured son. The 40-year-old artist, whose full name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has been charged with various illegal labor practices, including wrongful termination and retaliation. According to Medlock, who claims to have worked for Carter for more than a year, the damages should be at least $500,000 (£410,000). Medlock said that she went to Las Vegas with Carter over Memorial Day weekend as part of her duties as his cook, according to legal records. Additionally, Medlock asserts that she received a call during the journey alerting her that her 10-year-old son was being treated in a hospital in Los Angeles. The documents acquired by The Blast state that he sustained "a severe head injury and concussion requiring emergency hospitalization." And although Medlock tried her best attempts to travel back to Los Angeles to be with her injured child, she claimed to be "well aware of her job tasks and schedule." Lil Wayne

Furthermore, according to Medlock,  Carter allegedly smoked marijuana inside the plane, which caused the flight to be delayed. Later, she claimed to have taken another flight and told Carter's assistant she was leaving because she thought they would understand given the circumstances. According to Medlock, she "continued to check in regularly with Wayne’s assistant regarding her job tasks." She claimed that, as she always did while at work, she asked Carter's assistant whether they wanted her to send Carter a dinner menu and apparently heard "no." Lil Wayne Then, according to reports, Lil Wayne fired Morghan Medlock from her job. The chef claims to have received a message bidding her "goodbye" and thanking her for her assistance. And this was the rapper's message, according to her, which was delivered to her: "Tell Chef Morghan this isn't going to work." According to the chef's attorneys, she had been employed by the rapper for more than a year at the time of her dismissal and had put in "at least 1250 hours" during that time. The complaint accuses Lil Wayne of "conduct with a substantial factor and causing harm to [her], including but not limited to loss of earnings and other employment, benefits, mental anguish, and emotional distress."
