Razer specifically designed a pair of genuine wireless earbuds for console gamers. There are two versions of the Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed: one for the Xbox and one for the PlayStation. However, the Xbox version is more powerful for some reason. Are Razer's efforts to enrage PlayStation fans? The Hammerhead HyperSpeed is a variant of the Hammerhead earbuds that Razer now offers for sale. These models warrant more reliable console connections. How then is the Xbox version superior than the PlayStation version in terms of capability? As opposed to the PlayStation version, which is unable to connect to Microsoft consoles, it connects to both PS4/PS5 and Xbox consoles. This is due to the additional hurdle that Xbox audio devices must jump through, which is a specific security chip in the audio transmitter. The Xbox One is shown above, while the PlayStation model is white with blue accents, similar to a pair of AirPods. With active noise-cancellation, Razer's RGB lighting effects, and a USB-C audio transmitter, they are otherwise extremely comparable. Both of them have built-in 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, allowing you to pair them with both your console and a mobile device. Low 25–35 ms latency and a respectable eight hours of use from the earbuds and 22 more from the case for a total of 30 hours of use. Additionally, they cost the same $149.99 / £149.99 each. The Xbox One version is available here (opens in new tab) and the PlayStation version is available here, but they won't be available for purchase until November.
