The 40B1U5601H, a replacement for the 40B1U5600 that Philips already sells, has been unveiled. The Philips 40B1U5601H has a 5 MP webcam that can be utilized for video calls and biometric authentication with Windows Hello, despite the fact that both have 40-inch displays.

The Philips 40B1U5600, however, has a brighter screen than the Philips 40B1U5601H.

The 40B1U5601H, a modified version of the 40B1U5600 that Philips has been selling for the past few months, has just been released. Briefly said, the 40B1U5601H replaces the panel’s brightness with a 5 MP webcam. In all other respects, however, the pair is identical, including a pair of 5 W speakers.

The 40-inch IPS screen with W-LED backlights inside of each monitor produces 3,400 x 1,440 pixels in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, both screens support refresh rates of 120 Hz over DisplayPort and USB Type-C, but only 100 Hz over HDMI. The 1,200:1 contrast ratio and 4 ms GtG reaction times of the 40B1U5600, according to Philips, are also duplicated by the 40B1U5601H. The 40B1U5600, on the other hand, boasts VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and a peak brightness of 500 nits, while the 40B1U5601H only manages 300 nits.

Like the 40B1U5600, the 40B1U5601H includes an RJ45 Ethernet connection in addition to a USB Type-A hub. On Philips’ product listings, more information on both monitors is available. Later this month, Philips will start selling the 40B1U5601H for £739.99; the 40B1U5600 is currently available for £649.99.
