Qi is the most popular standard for wireless charging, and in January, it got a big change that made it "Qi2." Apple let the Wireless Power Consortium use MagSafe as a starting point for developing Qi2, which is now the new standard. With Qi2, the charger will have magnets that will connect to the phone, just like MagSafe. It's also said that third-party device makers won't need Apple's approval to charge the iPhone at 15W instead of the default 7.5W. Anker's Nano 3 line came out in September 2022, and at IFA 2023, the company is adding to it. It is adding Qi2 wireless charging to the MagGo line, which will be ready in the fall of 2023.
