Image credit : Matt Talks Tech (YouTube) Apple's next crown jewel, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, is taking shape to be a significant product for the company. The next major iPhone will be such a landmark release because to its updated design, new periscope camera, and USB Type-C port, to name just a few of the intriguing new features. And no, you didn't read that wrong—instead, we're contrasting the new iPhone with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, a former Samsung flagship. Why? The Galaxy S22 Ultra is still quite capable and could compete with anything Apple has to offer in late 2023, despite the fact that the Galaxy S23 Ultra is significantly newer and improved in many respects. Which would win out, and more importantly, should owners of the Galaxy S22 Ultra think about switching to the iPhone 15 Pro Max? Let's explore to find out. IPHONE 15 PRO MAX vs GALAXY S22 ULTRA expected differences:
  • 6.7-inch (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs 6.8-inch (Galaxy S22 Ultra) display
  • 3nm Apple A17 Bionic (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for Galaxy (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
  • 48MP (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs 108MP (Galaxy S22 Ultra) main camera sensors
  • 12MP FaceTime (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs 40MP (Galaxy S22 Ultra) selfie camera
  • 5-6X optical (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs 3X, 10X optical zoom (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
  • S Pen stylus support (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
  • 27W (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs 45W (Galaxy S22 Ultra) charging speeds
  • Face ID (iPhone 15 Pro Max) vs Ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
Since Apple is significantly changing the phone's design, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be very different from the majority of its predecessors. The rumor mill claims that it will have a titanium frame, which will make it stronger yet lighter, a win-win situation. The Dynamic Island punch-hole cutout is returning, but the front of the next giant iPhone's much, much thinner bezels will be the greater deal. Imagine heights that break records. According to rumors, the phone would feature bezels that are 1.55mm broad, breaking the current record held by the Xiaomi 13, which has bezels that are 1.81mm wide. Comparatively, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has bezels that are 1.95mm wide, which may not seem like much, but is actually broader. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a USB Type-C port at the bottom, which is a significant advancement for Apple given that it has relied on its proprietary Lightning port for more than ten years. The elimination of the mute switch and the addition of a new Action Button would be two further significant changes. Similar to the customizable button on the Apple Watch Ultra, this button will let you map various shortcuts and functions. Also read : Why Not To Buy The Galaxy S22 Ultra? The Galaxy S22 Ultra isn't all that different, with a conventional glass sandwich design that preserves the phone's luxury feel. This model has a back plate and display that are somewhat curved, which significantly improves the ergonomics of the otherwise fairly large Samsung phone. According to rumors, the rear backplate of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may also be somewhat curved for improved ergonomics; we'll have to wait and see how that one turns out.
