A new sports tab was added to the Apple News app when iOS 16.5 was made available to all users on Thursday. The tab serves as a central location for news, match schedules, and results for your preferred sports teams.

According to the company, tapping on the score and schedule cards in My Sports will take you to a website with further details about that particular game.

Along with bug improvements for unresponsive Spotlight, a new pride celebration wallpaper, and screen time syncing, iOS 16.5 now adds support for podcasts in CarPlay.

Apple announced minor upgrades for iPadOS 16.5, macOS Ventura 16.4, and watchOS 9.5 devices in addition to the software update for the iPhone.

The largest improvement made by the corporation during this release cycle was the addition of a multiview for Apple TV sports lovers. Users of Apple TV 4K may now watch up to four games at once thanks to this capability. The multiview function is now compatible with MLS and MLB live shows as well as Friday Night Baseball games and specific MLS and MLB matches.

Even though the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is still a few weeks away, a report from Macrumors this week claimed that Apple is already testing iOS16.6 internally and will soon make a beta version available to developers. Therefore, iOS 16.5 might not be the event’s final major release.
