Aubrey Plaza begged Drew Barrymore to be her 'mommy' in a bizarre interview

Drew Barrymore is the "dream mom" of Aubrey Plaza. On Monday's episode of her "Drew's News" podcast, the 38-year-old "White Lotus" actress bizarrely begged Barrymore, 47, to be her "mommy.” Plaza said in a baby voice, "You’re my dream mom. I wish you were my mom." She continued, "Feed me, put me to bed." To this, the "Charlie's Angels" actress joked in response, "What I wouldn’t do to put you to bed." Barrymore continued, "I’m good at it too," referring to her kids Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8. "I always hold them and I put them in the nook of my arm.” "Nurture me, nourish me … I’m a hungry baby," Plaza finished the joke while still using a baby voice. The "Parks and Recreation" alum was then reassured by Barrymore that she has "everything you need.”

Since then, their conversation has gained widespread attention, with many of Plaza's followers admiring her dark humor and chemistry with Barrymore. One person joked that they wanted to "live in the nook of [Aubrey’s] skull” in order to grasp her mind while another remarked, "GAWD i love Aubrey Plaza." "I like that Aubrey Plaza never stopped being weird and off-putting. It wasn’t a bit… She really is just like that," commented a third supporter.

More details

Regarding her role as a "mommy," Drew Barrymore recently spoke up about raising the two girls she has with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, whom she was married to from 2012 to 2016.

The "Drew Barrymore Show" host revealed earlier this month: "I always take them on a trip every Christmas." She added, "I don't get them presents, which I think at their ages they don’t love." "But I say, ‘I think we’ll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you,'" Barrymore continued. According to the "Scream" actress, "a life memory" is a "better gift" than "a doll house or something.” She said, "They don’t complain about not liking what they get [when I take them on a trip]. I’m glad I do what I do." On another note, prior to her relationship with Kopelman, Barrymore was married to comedian Tom Green in 2001 and bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994.
