Those who want to affect change will remember the Global Citizen NOW summit as a remarkable occasion. Global Citizen NOW announced its comeback on Tuesday, with Chris Martin and Hugh Jackman serving as co-chairs. Furthermore, the celebrities will congregate in New York City with leaders in business, philanthropy, public politics, music, and entertainment. Additionally present would be Erna Solberg, a former Norwegian prime minister, Mia Mottley, the prime minister of Barbados, and Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission. The focus of the event, which will take place on April 27 and 28, is on transforming concepts into impact and igniting immediate action to alleviate extreme poverty now. In addition, the Global Citizen festival was hosted by actress and Global Citizen Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas in September in New York City and Accra, Ghana. Metallica, Charlie Puth, the Jonas Brothers, MNESKIN, Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton, Rosala, and other artists took the stage in Central Park. Tickets for the concerts were free, as they were for all other Global Citizen activities. Nevertheless, individuals must sign up for Global Citizen and take action on a number of the campaign's problems to receive the tickets.

Hugh Evans, co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen, highlighted the importance of the annual advocacy festival, which aims to influence world leaders to adopt new laws pertaining to food and hunger, women's equality, education, health, water and sanitation, the environment, finance and innovation, and those areas. Evans stated: "Decades of systemic and political failures have led humanity into the midst of converging and rapidly deteriorating crises – climate, hunger, health, war, and conflict. The most marginalized populations are paying the price of the stagnant inaction of our leaders, and now millions of lives, and the future of our planet, are at stake." He added, "We refuse to just stand by and watch! We refuse to accept the starvation of multitudes when solutions are readily at hand. We demand a secure future for girls everywhere. We demand governments keep their promises on climate funding. We demand relief from debts unjustly crushing economies. And we demand action NOW, while there's still time to change our collective trajectory."
