Decentraland Boasts it has 8000 Daily Active Users

An NFT creator tweeted last week that Decentraland, a metaverse firm, only had 30 daily active users despite having a $1.2 billion market price. This week, Decentraland swiftly clarified on its blog that its metaverse actually has 8,000 daily active members when a bitcoin news outlet publicized the figures. DappRadar, an app store that tracks NFT transactions, provided the information for the initial claims of 30 daily users. In a blog post, Decentraland challenged the statistics, claiming that they actually had 8,000 daily active users. Decentraland Boasts it has 8000 Daily Active Users There is some strange math going on here, as you will see if you continue reading the blog. “You might at first divide 56,697, the number of September’s MAU by 30 and come back with the number 1,866,” wrote Decentraland, acknowledging that is far from the 8,000 that they claim. “A large number of Decentraland’s users are repeat visitors, they are the Decentraland community and spend time on the platform on a regular basis.” Therefore, they are not really recording unique visitors. Every day, 1,866 different people visit Decentraland. I'm not even sure if I have the heart to be snarky about this because it's so terrible. A browser-based 3D virtual world platform is called Decentraland. Using the MANA cryptocurrency, which runs on the Ethereum blockchain, users can purchase virtual land plots on the site as NFTs. It is governed by the non-profit Decentraland Foundation and opened to the public in February 2020.\ Back in the ‘90s, when The Simpsons was one of the best shows on TV, the world was gifted a theatrical bomb known as Waterworld. This post-apocalyptic action film starring Kevin Costner cost a lot of money to make and was an infamous dud. So naturally, The Simpsons made a joke about it. And now that joke has become a fully playable video game.
