According to official Qi certification, the 12W charging speeds of the Google Pixel 8 appear poised to remain the same.
The Google Pixel 8 is directly listed in this certification on the website of the Wireless Electricity Consortium, and it will support up to 12 watts of electricity using the Qi wireless charging standard.
And based on the listing, it appears that the
Pixel 8 will employ the older Qi1.2.4 standard rather than the more modern Qi2 standard. Simply said, don't anticipate the Pixel 8 charging more quickly while utilizing Qi-compatible wireless chargers.

Does that imply there won't be any wireless charging upgrades? Well, that's difficult to tell because Google has its own Pixel Stand, which can charge Pixel phones at up to 23 watts for compatible Pixel phones and 15 watts for Qi-certified devices, as well as the top Android and iPhones.
There is therefore room for Google to introduce a third-generation stand that produces more power and can increase the wattage to Pixel phones, but not on the Qi standard.
However, based on this official information, it's likely that wireless charging for the Pixel 8 won't be upgraded. It's possible that the rumored Pixel 8 Pro will have faster charging to differentiate itself from its ordinary sibling, but that is just our opinion.
Overall, it appears that the Pixel 8 lineup will merely expand on the style and capabilities set forwards by the Pixel 6. That's not a negative thing as the Pixel 6 was a great phone despite having a problematic fingerprint sensor.

The camera bar and general Pixel design are expected to continue, but upgraded sensors might be added. Additionally, the Pixel 8 might provide superior computational photography in addition to a number of smart features thanks to the probable inclusion of a third-generation Tensor chip.
As Google Bard gains popularity, anticipate AI chatbot technology in the upcoming Pixel phones as well.

As a supporter of the Pixel phones, Google continues to improve upon the last two generations of Pixels, which have felt more distinctive than earlier iterations.
Although the Soli radar system in the Pixel 4 was a bit of a swing and a miss, it was a respectable attempt at experimental innovation for the Pixel line.
