Currently undergoing testing is YouTube's new Android app. Some users of Dark Mode are receiving a new progress bar style from Google. Therefore, the time it takes for the tech titan to roll out this new design to all users may not be long enough. It appears that YouTube will soon stop using the red progress bar to reduce nighttime eye strain. Google is now experimenting out a new appearance for its YouTube Android app, according to the most recent report from Phone Arena. As a result, some users are posting pictures of a new progress bar that looks to be in Dark Mode. Given this, you might have noticed something odd if you spent a few hours watching YouTube videos on your Android phone. It also appears that you are not alone. It is important to note that the YouTube progress indicator has not altered over time. It's red to show how much of a video you've already watched. It is an excellent approach to determine when viewers are about to finish what they are watching.

White/Gray Design for Users of Dark Mode

This time, Android users have noticed that the progress bar has a new appearance. Some YouTube app users on smartphones are starting to see a new white and grey aesthetic. The red progress bar is thus replaced with a white bar. Only Dark mode is compatible with the new appearance. After then, the red progress bar reappears if users return to the standard light design. On the other hand, because it features a lot of white hues, the red design works well in the light setting. Apple iPhone and iPad users, how about you?

The YouTube app for Apple iOS appears to be catching up with the new design, according to reports. The media organisation claims that the apps on their iPhone and iPad also adopted the new white/gray aesthetic. It appears that Google is testing it on devices other than Android mobile handsets. Once the tech giant introduces the new progress bar to all smartphone users, it may eventually totally replace the red appearance in Dark mode.
