Huawei Vision Glass With Micro OLED Display Debuts in China

The latest pair of smart glasses from Huawei, the Vision Glass, has begun selling in China. Through the use of its Micro OLED panels, which run at 1080p and 60 Hz, the Huawei Vision Glass can generate virtual displays as large as 120 inches. After teasing the smart glasses last month, Huawei has now unveiled the Vision Glass in its entirety. The Vision Glass uses Micro OLED screens to create sizable virtual displays for working or viewing movies, as we discussed at the time. The Nreal Air AR, which Nreal released earlier this year in certain markets, functions fundamentally similar to the Vision Glass in this regard. Huawei, on the other hand, has not said that it will sell the Vision Glass outside of its home market. Huawei, for example, typically waits a few months before releasing products in China and other regions. Thus, the first international release of Huawei's Vision Glass may not happen until mid-2023. Each screen has 480 nits of brightness, outputs at 60 Hz, and supports 90% of the DCI-P3 color space. Additionally, the Vision Glass offers a field of view of 41°, 53 PPD, and an interpupillary distance of 63.5 mm (4 mm), all of which help to produce projections up to 120 inches in diameter. The Huawei Vision Glass has a CNY 2,999 (about $431) MSRP and is exclusively offered in Glossy Black. However, when they go on sale on December 26, the smart glasses will cost CNY 2,899 (about US$417).
