However, the tech giant has not revealed anything regarding the reported battery upgrade. The battery upgrade falls short of the rumored 10% bump up.  Despite the battery capacity enhancement, Apple asserts that the iPhone 15 lineup delivers the same battery life as its previous models. Apple refrained from disclosing battery specifications but it went on to reveal the expected battery life for audio and video playback. According to the company's claims, the iPhone 15 Pro Max boasts up to 29 hours of video playback and up to 95 hours of audio playback, the 15 Pro offers 23 hours of video and 75 hours of audio, the iPhone 15 Plus is listed with 26 hours of video playback and 100 hours of audio, and the base iPhone 15 manages up to 20 hours of video playback and 80 hours of audio. Back in summer this year, one Chinese report suggested that all four iPhone 15 models would witness a jump from 10.9% to 18%. However, the latest upgrade is nowhere close to this report. iPhone Model Battery Capacity
Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max 4,422mAh, 17.109Wh.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro 3,274mAh, 12.70Wh
Apple iPhone 15 Plus 4,383mAh, 16.950Wh.
Apple iPhone 15 3,349mAh, 12.981Wh
These figures and specs account for a slight upgrade compared to last year’s lineups.
iPhone Model Battery Capacity
Apple iPhone 14 3,279mAh
Apple iPhone 14 Pro 3,200mAh
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max 4,323mAh
Apple iPhone 14 Plus 4,325mAh
The most significant battery capacity increases are seen in the Pro models, although they are still relatively modest at just over 2 percent. Some iPhone 14 Pro users reported more rapid battery capacity loss and shorter battery life compared to previous models. The iPhone 15 Pro models come with the new 3nm process A17 Pro Apple Silicon, touted as the most power-efficient chip in the lineup. However, it's also more powerful, so, according to Apple's data, the overall battery performance remains consistent. However, it will be interesting to see whether the iPhone 15 lineups will exhibit similar degradation patterns.
