Lenovo Shows Off Vertically Rollable Phone

In Tech World 2022, Lenovo showed two concepts for its rollable phones, mainly the vertical rolling phone, as what we have seen earlier is they grow wider than taller. Along with foldable phones, many phone makers revealed rollable phones but none of them have made it to the market. The LG Rollable phone was the closest but unfortunately, it never hit the stores as the company came out of the smartphone department. And now Lenovo has come with its latest rollable phone which is being demoed on LG phones. Lenovo Rollable Phone

When the device is not in use, it stays at four inches and when unrolled, it comes with a 6.5-inch OLED screen. The motto behind this technology is it expands to a full-length smartphone and when not in use, can be seated in the pocket without occupying much space. This technology allows you to have a full-size screen and can transform to a smaller size than any other premium brand, according to Motorola. It solves the problem of clamshell phones like the Motorola series or the Galaxy Z Flip. Lenovo is trying to inculcate this technology in its laptops. Luca Rossi, President of Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group stated, “The possibilities of a rollable laptop are also compelling. It will bring multitasking, browsing, and mobility applications to another level.” Lenovo Rollable Phone

Rossi stated that “we would continue to see Lenovo’s innovation here” indicating that there is more to come. However, these high-tech devices will not be launched any time in the near future, as of now, they are concept devices.
