Additional details
According to sources, Lisa Marie Presley penned about her final resting place in the song "Light's Out" from her 2003 debut album To Whom It May Concern. She sang, "Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis. Ooh, that's where my family's buried and gone (gone)/Oh yeah/Last time I was there I noticed a space left/Oh, next to them there in Memphis, yeah/In the damn back lawn." In addition, she became good friends with Kessler, a grief and loss expert and the founder of grief.com after the death of her son. Kessler claimed in an Instagram post that he spent time with Lisa Marie at the graveyard of her father and son, which would eventually serve as her final resting place as well. Lastly, instead of sending flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, a non-profit that supports initiatives for children, the arts, and education in the Memphis and Whitehaven region.Leave a Reply
