Madison Brooks, 19, was captured on more unsettling video just before her tragic demise. A surveillance camera captured the LSU student exiting a Baton Rouge bar, dashing across a parking lot, and getting into a car with three males, a teenager, and other people. Currently, two of the males are suspected of raping the woman while the other two stood by and did nothing. After the whole thing, Brooks was allegedly abandoned by the four guys in a "drunk" and "impaired" state on the side of the road before she was hit and murdered by a ride-sharing vehicle. Everett Lee, 28, and Casen Carver, 18, are accused of being accomplices to the crimes, while Kavion Washington, 18, and a child, 17, have been charged with raping the student. Madison, a minor, had been drinking at Reggie's bar from around 10 p.m. to almost 1 a.m. when she came across the group of men. Early on January 15, 2023, the student from Louisiana State University was declared deceased. The famed bar's liquor license has been suspended as a result of Brook's passing and other contentious situations. After exiting the bar at 1.50 a.m., Brooks raced up to the group of strangers, hugged one of them, and then left the camera's field of view. Suspect Kaivon Washington, 18, was charged with third-degree rape and freed on a $150,000 bond. According to Daily Mail, a third-degree rape charge in Louisiana is based on the fact that the victim was unable to agree because they were intoxicated or high, and the perpetrator "knew or should have known of the victim's incapacity."Madison Brooks Everett Lee and Casen Carver were freed after posting $50,000 and $75,000 bonds, respectively. All three of the adult suspects in the case are mandated to wear ankle monitors and stay under house arrest. The court hearing for the unnamed 17-year-old was continued until February, but he is still being held in a juvenile facility. First-degree rape charges, which in Louisiana carry a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of release, will be upgraded, according to prosecutor Stuart Theirort. According to accounts, the males arrived to the bar around 10.18 p.m., or roughly 20 minutes after Brooks had begun to consume alcohol. An affidavit stated that Brooks looked to be sitting on a stool by the bar counter around 1 am before tripping and rising to her feet with the assistance of these males. She was last spotted sitting on a seat near the entrance door at 1.34 am. She then fell again, and the youngster came over, took off her cap, and assisted her in standing up. Nearly 25 minutes later, Brooks and the men were seen strolling off on the street on camera. Brooks was abandoned on the side of the road almost ten minutes after she climbed into the car. She was able to assent and readily got in the car despite the men's claims that she was in a "drunken state." The toxicology report, according to the source, indicated that Brooks had 0.319g percent alcohol in her system, which is so much that she might have had alcohol poisoning or loss of consciousness. Traces of THC or cannabis were also discovered in her system at the time of her death, according to an autopsy. Authorities asserted that because of her intoxication, the 19-year-old was unable to give her consent to the sexual activity.
