Met Police Head And Two Former Police Officers Accused Of Being In A Pedophile Ring

Two former police officers and the head of the Met Police are accused of being in a pedophile ring. Additionally, Serving Chief Inspector Richard Watkinson, 49, was discovered dead on the day he was supposed to be charged with possessing child sex pictures. And the charges against Jack Addis, 63, and Jeremy Laxton, 62, include sharing indecent photographs of children. Furthermore, next month, the two retired police officers who have been accused of crimes involving obscene photos of children will appear in court. In addition, Addis and Laxton are charged with participating in a pedophile ring with the deceased Met boss. Watkinson, a serving Chief Inspector, was scheduled to be charged when he was discovered dead at his house in Princes Risborough, Bucks, last week. And while not suspicious, his death is being treated as unexplained. Additionally, the head of the Met Police was in charge of the West Area Command Unit's schools. According to reports, the officers plotted to share photographs of child abuse for nearly four years. Former weapons officer Addis of Perthshire, Scotland, who had been married for 43 years, retired in 2008 with the rank of sergeant. He was detained in November 2021 and accused of plotting to disseminate or exhibit indecent photographs of children. Moreover, Laxton, 62, of Lincolnshire, was arrested in September 2021. He retired at the same time as Addis and has been accused of crimes like conspiring to broadcast or distribute indecent images of minors, creating indecent photos of children, and creating extreme pornographic images. On another note, the alleged offenses occurred between January 1, 2018, and September 20, 2021. Lastly, Addis and Laxton will appear before the Westminster magistrates.
