A Walgreens store 1,700 miles from his home is where a missing 6-year-old Jojo Morales is seen in recently released CCTV footage. In the midst of a custody dispute, the boy's father Jorge Morales, 45, and grandmother Lilliam Pea Morales, 68, claim to have abducted Jorge "Jojo" Morales. Before he vanished from his mother's house on August 27, Jojo is said to have informed her that "evil people were attempting to take him away." Now, recently discovered surveillance footage reveals Jojo in Maine on August 29 with his father, two days after he went missing. This week, the video was made available by the FBI and National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. "And after that, they bought him cars at a Dollar Tree or a Dollar Store. "My son is totally devoted to vehicles." Additionally, according to Miami-Dade court documents, Jojo's mother's emergency application for sole custody was approved on August 29. After Morales kept Jojo over night in violation of his custody agreement with Concepcion, the request was granted. Morales is seen as a runaway and is sought after by both the FBI and the U.S. Marshals. On September 2, four days after he was spotted in the video, an Amber Alert was issued for Jojo. The surveillance footage is not the only chilling piece of evidence that has been found. For allegedly taking the boy illegally, warrants for Morales and his mother's arrest have been issued. According to Concepcion, her ex-husband had been researching ways to live off the grid. Police suspect the father had been planning the kidnapping for a year. For a year prior, Morales is said to have only used cash to cover his expenses. Concepcion is asking for her son's return in the meantime.
