MSI driver contains a leak of unannounced Nvidia Ada-based mobile workstation GPUs

By LaptopVideo2Go, four forthcoming Ada Lovelace-based professional laptop GPUs were discovered in the most current MSI driver release. The RTX 5000 model, which is reported to be built on the same AD103 SKU as the RTX 4090 mobile, would be the top of the range. As suggested last week by the benchmark leaks for an RTX 6000 desktop GPU, the first Ada-based workstation GPUs may soon make their debut. Since Nvidia typically does not limit the professional GPUs to the desktop form-factor, the new Ada architecture should also include some mobile versions. Nvidia may be preparing to sell at least four professional mobile SKUs based on the RTX 4000 Ada Lovelace generation, according to LaptopVideo2Go. Whether the SKU names are official is unknown, however given that there is no A before the number, it appears that the naming scheme from the Ampere generation was abandoned:
  • GPU from the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation for laptops, NVIDIA DEV.2730
  • NVIDIA RTX 3500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU is the value of NVIDIA DEV.27BB.
  • GPU from the NVIDIA RTX 3000 Ada Generation for laptops, NVIDIA DEV.2838
  • GPU from the NVIDIA RTX 2000 Ada Generation for laptops, NVIDIA DEV.28B8
Some specifications for the SKUs have been suggested by industry insiders close to Videocardz. In this regard, the RTX 5000 would have 16 GB of 256-bit GDDR6 memory and might be built on the same AD103 GPU that drives the RTX 4090, a graphics card designed for laptops. Since there is no RTX 4000 present, it's possible that this SKU—a step-down from the RTX 6000 that leaked last week—is only intended for desktop use. Thus, the RTX 3500 model might be built on the 12 GB 192-bit GDDR6-based AD104 GPU, whereas the RTX 3000 might include an AD106 GPU.
